You can learn a musical instrument in a number of ways. A lot of students choose to learn in a small group setting with their friends. This is often the best way to learn as the students have a shared experience and helps to keep the overall cost down.
Parent Portal – many schools we work with pass on the cost for instrumental lessons to parents directly. We have set up a handy registration form where parents / guardians can register their child’s request for one to one or small group tuition.
Registering your school or student for instrument lessons is a fairly straightforward process. If you are a school looking to pay for tuition directly for your students, please use the enquiry form (right hand side of page) Once submitted, a member of our team will contact you with our Service Level Agreement. If you are a school looking to pass on the cost for instrumental lessons to parents, we will be happy to facilitate this. Once you have registered your school using our form (selecting ‘passing on the costs’). We will then send you out an information pack including a draft letter for parents detailing how they registered their child for instrumental lessons.
Yes, most certainly. We lease instruments to students over the course of the time the individual has lessons with a Newave teacher. You can see a full list of instruments we offer by clicking here or through our registration form. *please click here for leasing arrangements.

All lessons take place at your child’s school. Lessons will usually take place during school times with the option of after school lessons
You pay for lessons by clicking on the ‘Register Today’. This will then take you to a booking form. You will need to input the required data and click submit. A member of the Newave Admin Team will then call you to arrange online payment. This is normally done though PayPal or BACs and should only take 5 minutes.
Yes, we will support your child to access music examinations and prepare them for submission. Our most popular route is ‘Rock School’. However, RBSM and Trinity College are also available for students. This will be discussed in more detail once registration is complete.
Yes, if your child wants to learn a musical instrument for the fun of it, then we actively encourage this. We will often signpost opportunities for band based work and local ensembles for your child to join, if they so wish.
If you need to cancel your lessons, we require a half terms notice (5 weeks) in order to make make appropriate refund arrangements. Please refer to the our T’s & C’s
If you have to cancel a session, will we do our best to make up the session at a later. Please note, this is not always possible due to the complexities of timetabling. If we cancel a session, we will either make up the session at a later date or provide a refund for the missed lesson.
